From original CAD walker Lucas DaSilva: RIP Luis DaSilva You were a great man, friend, and father. I love you and I miss you so much. I’m sorry I didn’t get to see you again. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for your funeral. But I vow to you this: Every ounce of fiber and carbon [...]

Motivation In Activism

Posted by CAD2012

One of the questions I’m always asked in relation to coming out as undocumented is, “why?” Why do I choose to risk deportation by publicly announcing my status? Why am I “Undocumented and Unafraid”? It’s really quite interesting how such a small query can have such a profound answer. I believe we all have the motivation to be “Unafraid” and to act on behalf of the passion that courses in our veins. All we need is a spark to spring us into action. So what sparked me? I would like to share with you the factors that brought my motivation and the spark that brought me to act on my passion.
